About
I started Hugs & Hertz to support other people like me looking for more tranquility and calmness in their lives.
Being a professional Senior Mental Health Lead in Eduction I have always had a curiosity in which music can be used to support children and adults to help relax, reset, reduce anxiety & stress, support children with ADHD and Autism all by using drug free sound therapy techniques.
STRESS
A few years ago I was working in a highly pressured role
On a training day, I suddenly suffered terrible pain in my ear proceeded by a thunder clap headache.
To cut a long story short, I had suffered from a carotid artery dissection causing a blockage of blood to the brain. The culprit was stress driving high blood pressure. After many months quite poorly I returned to work knowing things had to change.
INDIA - During the summer of 2025 I was lucky enough to visit the country of India. Visiting Mumbai and Goa. The disparities between our busy western life style and India culture left a huge mark on me. The peace I found in the forests of Goa and some of the simple life and happiness from the people of Mumbai made me look at my life and what was important. I experienced Indian head massage with sound bath music making me feel the best I ever had. To say I had a spiritual enlightening might stretch it a bit but it certainly had a impact on me.
My life before education was in the arts. Music has always being a huge part of my life. In 2001 under the artist name 'Parisian Cowboy' I had some underground success with the single ‘Pink Green’ reaching the dizzy heights of BBC Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs playlist, spinning for several weeks. The red vinyl flew out the stores supporting the CD album ‘Strange’.
So naturally knowing how music can effect our whole life & wellbeing, I have studied to be a Sound Therapy Practitioner.
I had always turned to music for my own wellbeing and now present to you Hugs & Hertz Sound Therapy based on science and wellbeing music practices for adults, children and the education sector.
